Jávea - Xàbia
Javea is a traditional spanish town on the northern Costa Blanca. The main village of Javea is centred around the church and the central market, with the freshest fish meat and vegetables. Narrow streets and paths lead off in all directions to the many small shops, bars and restaurants.
The port area has a promenade and beautiful pebble beach with several shops and restaurants, along the waterfront there are many buildings made with tosca stone taken from the beach where you can still see the quarried areas.
From the port stretches a long beach, dotted with small 'tiki bars' during the summer it leads you toward the arenal. This area has a large sandy beach and has many shops, bars and restaurants.
Follow the road south up toward the Costa Nova for spectacular views out to see and inland toward the montgo and the mountains, if you can find them, there are secluded coves with little restaurants to while away the sunny days. Portichol and granadella offer wonderful views and are less 'touristy' than the arenal.
Inland are miles of orange groves and plantations, leading you toward the spectacular mountains in the distance and the Jalon valley.
